January began with an overnight prayer meeting at Happy Church, from 8PM to 5AM, where every ministry was represented. We continue to seek the Lord for His guidance and wisdom as we move forward in His work in 2025. What a beautiful night it was.

We were also blessed to have friends from the US visit for two weeks. It’s always a joy to have people walk alongside us here. They bring new ideas, encouragement, and plenty of hugs. It was truly a refreshing time.

A very special thank you goes out to the Byllotts. They helped us start RICE491 two years ago, a program created to help 91 families with malnourished children at one of the schools we work with. Thanks to their support, 400 kilos of rice are provided each month. This has been a huge blessing for these families. The pictures shared are from our most recent visit.

During that visit, I met a student in the 3rd grade. I noticed she was much bigger than her classmates. The principal explained that this young girl is 12 years old and is in 3rd grade—not because she can't pass academically, but because she misses many school days. Why? She collects shells (seafood) from the sea and sells them in the community to help her family survive.

My heart was so touched by this young one. At just 12 years old, she works so her family can eat. Imagine what she could do if she could complete her education! Moving forward, we are exploring ways to help other families in similar situations. We’re even considering a gardening program to provide sustainable help. But here in the Philippines, Rice is Life, and the gift of rice remains a tremendous blessing.
