How Our Tweens Raised $900 to Feed Families
Monday, April 7, 2025 by The Hicks Family

In early December, our Tweens Ministry put together something truly special—a Christmas concert designed to give back. These amazing kids set a goal to help 100 families in the community enjoy a warm meal during the Christmas season.

The concert was completely free to attend, but our Tweens invited the audience to give as they felt led. By the end of the night, they had raised over $900!

The following Saturday, they turned those generous donations into love in action. Together, they prepared baskets and hand-delivered them to families in need. Watching them serve with joy and compassion reminded us that we are truly raising a generation of givers.

We are beyond proud of these young people. Their hearts reflect the love of Christ, and their actions show that age is no barrier to making a difference.

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did
for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”

– Matthew 25:40

We are also grateful for our incredible teachers and leaders in both the Children’s and Tweens Ministry, as well as our dedicated staff from Happy Word of Life Christian School. Their passion for sharing God’s Word and shaping young hearts is a blessing.

Thank you for continuing to support these ministries—you are helping to shape the future.
